Birthdays!

My birthday and Thomas' birthday are 2 days apart... So we basically had an awesome weekend!

Friday

We went to the state fair! It was a blast! It's pretty ghetto though... haha. We just had fun walking around and seeing everything there. We went on one kind of crazy ride that was super fun, and then we went on like a ski lift type ride. It's funny because most people go to the fair and buy something fried to eat, like a fried oreo or something crazy, but I got an ice cream cone and Thomas got an icee. Haha how lame is that? I was really just craving ice cream. Usually I would want a funnel cake or something but that wasn't sounding good to me at the time. I'm glad that my parents could watch Jayne so we could have a fun night out :) And also thanks to Thomas' parents who gave us tickets so we didn't have to pay to get in! Score! 

Saturday (Thomas' birthday!)

We had such a fun day! We started out by getting free IHOP for the both of us! I had signed us up on their website so we got a free breakfast, and you didn't have to use it on your birthday. That rocked! We took Jayne with us, and it was so fun haha. Kind of crazy though... she was pretty good though. It was just different for us because we hadn't taken her to a sit down restaurant yet until then. And usually we would go to like Costa Vida or somewhere kinda fast and she would be asleep anyways. A waitress passed by our table and started freaking out about how cute Jayne was haha. It was so funny. Jayne just kept smiling at her. It was adorable. I love my smiley girl :) After that we went home so Jayne could take a nap, then after she woke up and I fed her we went to meet our new nephew, Jason! He was born on Friday, the 25th. He is a big boy! He was 9 lbs. 10 oz. and 22.5 inches long. He is basically almost as big as Jayne haha. He is so precious. It was fun talking to them and hearing about her birth experience. This was their second, and this time Julie didn't have an epidural. Go her! We left the hospital and went to the mall to get Thomas new clothes. It wasn't a successful shopping trip... We just walked around for a while and left. Thomas didn't really feel like shopping and we were both kinda tired. We came home and Thomas and Jayne napped and we just relaxed. Later my dad came and picked up Jayne, and Thomas and I got ANOTHER date just the two of us. How lucky to get 2 date nights in one weekend?? (We love being with Jayne! But it was fun to have just us time this weekend) Thomas and I went to Wendy's to eat, and we also got Jamba Juice haha. Then we walked around Freestone Park and just talked :) It was the best. I love my husband so much. We have so much fun together. We had some great conversation... It was a much needed date!

Sunday

Nothing really exciting happened Sunday... it was just normal :) We went to church and spent time with family! 

Monday (My birthday)
I went to work in the morning, then went to Joe's BBQ for lunch to get my free meal! It was me and Jayne of course, my mom, Shelci, the twins, and my grandma. After that I just spent time at home with Thomas and Jayne, then my parents watched Jayne again while we went to Grimaldi's for dinner! We got a large ham pizza for free! Score. It was delicious. And we got a caesar salad. After that, since it's at San Tan Mall, we walked around for a bit and just talked. Later I finished off my birthday festivities by going to dance :) Good stuff. 

So it's a tradition in Thomas' family that his mom would decorate their doors for their birthday. I decorated it for his birthday (didn't take pictures though) and he decorated it for mine. I was laughing so hard at some of the things haha. I love my silly husband! He is the best.

Also, before our birthdays, one night we went to Red Robin for free burgers (except they only let us use one of them... so dumb!!) and another night we went to Dickey's Barbeque and got a free sandwich. SO YUMMY!!! 

 

Changing

This has been on my mind today... 

When did this girl...

Become this girl?? 

It blows my mind how much Jayne has changed these (almost) 3 months! It's crazy how fast time is going by. Before I know it she'll be talking, walking, eating real food, running, going to preschool, etc. I don't want my baby girl to grow up! But I guess that's why we have more than one kid, right? :) Which definitely won't be for quite a while though haha. 

I've been working on her 3 month post the past few days. So I'll be posting that next week.

2 Months

This is a little late... but on the 30th, Jayne turned 2 months old! (Yesterday she turned 10 weeks!)

She is now...

10 lbs. 5.5 oz. 

24 inches long

New things she's doing these days:
*Blowing bubbles! Constantly she is spitting and blowing bubbles. I read online that around 2 months they start having more saliva.
*Sleeping 6-8 hours through the night. Yay! Most night she sleeps 7 hours. (Except that the last few days she has only been sleeping like 5 hours... But I think it's because she's been so congested. It's so sad! Taking care of a sick baby is the saddest!)
*Not the best at taking naps... usually only 30 minutes tops. But I'll take what I can get!
*LOVES to talk and socialize. She says "goo!" all the time. Haha it's the cutest!
*Really starting to smile all the time. I love it!! She is such a happy baby. I love when she wakes up in the morning and is super smiley.
*Shrieks and makes crazy noises when she is really happy. It's my favorite!
*Rubs her eyes when she's tired
*She's starting to fall asleep on her own more often. I lay her down and she'll just fall asleep. Not every time, but it's happening more often. I think she's just getting used to the routine of naptime/bedtime. Wrap her in a blanket, give her her paci, turn on the sound machine, and lay her down.

She loves this toy! There is a mirror on one side and she likes to look at herself and talk and smile. 

A few times she has grabbed at toys.. but I don't think it's intentional yet. She's getting there though! 

I'm trying to enjoy these cuddles... It won't be long before she won't want to cuddle as much! 

Arms are ALWAYS up when she sleeps! (Unless I swaddle her with her arms down, but sometimes she still manages to get them out and puts them up like this) 

We go on walks in the morning lots and at night with Daddy. We love this weather!!

Bumbo!

This girl is starting to roll over! I put her on her tummy the other day, and then all of a sudden I looked at her and she was on her back! So now tummy time doesn't last very long haha. She will get mad and flip onto her stomach. 

My niece Lily made this hat for Jayne! So sweet :) 

We discovered that this girly loves to watch Baby Einstein! 

I'm starting to put bibs on her sometimes now because she drools and spits up quite often! It's easier changing a bib than changing her outfit 3 times a day ha 

So cute!! 

I was laughing when I tried these on her haha. They were huge! And they are 0-3 month! Really?? Is she that skinny?? The dress that goes with it fits her perfectly, but these are huge!! 

Baby Blessing

Jayne was blessed in church on September 29th! Thomas gave her such a beautiful blessing. That morning was a little stressful. I wanted to make sure she was fed and happy (or asleep!) during the blessing, so I tried altering her eating schedule so that this would work out. I fed her right before church, we were even early this time, got her in her beautiful dress once we got there (her dress was too poofy to buckle her in her carseat with it on haha), and I even got her to sleep right before the blessing! Woo hoo! It was great having lots of family there for our sweet girl on this special day. That afternoon we went to my parents house with my side of the family and Thomas' and had lots of yummy food! My brother took these pictures of us and Jayne. I edited them just a little bit. I'm so glad Jayne was in a good mood and we got some smiles!
