Christmas 2014

We had such a wonderful Christmas! Jayne's favorite thing about Christmas I think with all the decorations was all the Santa's she saw! She says his name so clear. I love it! It's like one of the only words you can really understand when she says it. She also loved to point out Je-Je (Jesus). It's crazy how babies know who Jesus is... even if it's a picture of Him that they have never seen. Amazing. I love it. Christmas Eve we first went to my grandpa and grandma's to eat dinner. They always have Mexican food on Christmas Eve. It was so yummy! We were there for a little bit then all my siblings went to my parents house for our family party. First we did the nativity. Jayne was an angel! Haha her dress was so adorable. She didn't understand or care... She just wanted to go play! My nieces and nephews were so cute and loved to play the part.

Jayne clapped at the end haha. She looooves to clap.
I was dying... My nephew Ian dressed up like this and him and his little brother Jamison sang the song "Must be Santa" I think it's called. They did so good! Jamison especially got SO into it. Hahaha that kid is such a performer. It was hysterical!
Thomas played the piano and the kids danced around and sang along. Jayne was loving it!!! She clapped at the end of every song of course haha.
Santa came! And Jayne was SO SCARED! hahaha. From a distance she would say "Santa!" and point to him and seem happy, but I would try and get her close to him and she would cling onto my so hard and would not face him haha. Maybe next year she won't be scared...
We played outside and had a fire and s'mores :) Such a fun night. Jayne had a really short nap that day, so I was worried she would be cranky to stay up late, but it's like it didn't even phase her. Yay! She was distracted by all the fun we were having. Oh and we also did a gift exchange! Thomas and I got a calendar of the Gilbert Temple that my brother did (Brooks Crandell Photography) and a gift card to Red Robin :) Jayne got a puzzle, a sippy cup and a book!

Christmas morning!

Jayne doesn't know yet apparently that you are supposed to wake up early on Christmas ;) haha. Thomas and I woke up at 7 wide awake and she didn't wake up until almost 9. We opened our presents and waited for her to wake up and finally watched her open hers! She didn't really understand opening the presents... She was like I'm allowed to do this?? haha. We got her this light up ball thing, some blocks, a puzzle, and a toy camera. She liked them, but was more interested in our stuff haha.

My parents came by a little bit later to give Jayne her presents. They gave her this shopping cart and a little toy bus thing with some people. She LOVES the shopping cart! She has been pushing it around all the time since Christmas.
We went next door to my in-laws for lunch and to spend time with all the family on the Manning side. We did a gift exchange there with Thomas' siblings. We got another Red Robin gift card, Thomas got a rubik's cube and I got a necklace :) Jayne got this coloring book in the picture above with all the crayons. My niece made that fabric thing that all the crayons go in and it rolls up. So nice of her! Jayne loves coloring but lately she just tries to eat the crayons.
We look outside and we saw Sarah sitting out there happily eating a piece of pie off of this plate hahahaha
Jayne got some books from Thomas' parents! She loves them! His parents gave him this leatherman thing and gave me a Ninja blender! Holy crap I was not expecting that. I was super excited! (I've already made 2 smoothies with it that turned out so good!!!). Oh and my parents gave us a gift card that we can use at a bunch of different restaurants and 2 movie tickets! Woo hoo! So nice! I'm excited to use it. I think we are going to use it at Zinburger because I keep hearing how amazing their food is.

Oh I forgot to say what Thomas and I gave each other. He got me: some makeup stuff, a work out headband, an armband thing for my phone when I work out, an electric toothbrush, candy, a calendar, Battleship, slippers and some hair stuff! He spoiled me. I got him a few months subscription to the dvd Netflix where it sends you them in the mail, a chromecast, new hair clippers, socks, candy, Dr. Pepper, and I can't remember what else but I think there was more. Anyways... it was a fun Christmas!

Christmas came and went... So sad! I love this time of year. It's just so sad when it's over! Next year we will have 2 kids at Christmas... So crazy.
I am grateful for the Christmas season and the birth of Jesus Christ. I know He lives!

Baby #2!

Jayne is going to be a big sister! I am pregnant with baby #2 :) and we are so excited! Also very nervous haha. It will be tough! Especially at the beginning. But I think Jayne will love having a sibling, especially when the baby is old enough to play with her. We wanted to have two kind of close together and then we will wait at least 3 years before trying for another one.
I found out I was pregnant on November 7th. It happened super quickly. I knew I was pregnant pretty much right away. Seriously some pregnancy symptoms started so fast. I took a pregnancy test and was only 3 weeks pregnant but got a positive test result. I was shocked! Not that I was pregnant... because I really felt like I was. But shocked that I got a positive test that soon. So funny story. The first test I took was an $0.88 one from Walmart (Not the picture above). Super cheap. But people say those are accurate. It took a while to see the results but the line was faint and was a positive. Any sort of line even if faint means you are pregnant. It was just faint because I was barely pregnant. So then like 2 days later I wanted to take another test just to make sure.... just because I had one anyways. So it was the same cheap Walmart one. Well this one didn't work! It didn't even say not pregnant... It just wasn't valid. So I was like crap! I'm sure I'm pregnant because I got a positive before and getting false positives isn't very common... But I was still freaking out a little. The next day I went to Target and got a more expensive pregnancy test (pictured above) and got a positive right away. After that I was relieved and felt lots better haha.
The day I found out, it was in the early afternoon and Thomas was at work. I talked to him on the phone like right after pretty much but decided that I didn't want to tell him on the phone, I wanted to tell him in person. So I tried coming up with a creative idea to tell him... I ended up doing something simple though. I wrote on a paper "I'm going to be a big sister!" and had Jayne give it to him when he got home. It was so fun! We announced to my family a couple weeks later I think it was or maybe longer and made it "Facebook official" on Christmas Eve with our Christmas card. I have such a hard time keeping my mouth shut though, so lots of people already knew haha.

We are excited to have another baby in our family! I due July 19th (according to my calculations... I haven't gone to the doctor yet) so I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow :)
