Anniversary/Babymoon in San Diego!

Thomas and I have been itching to get out of AZ for the weekend and do something fun! We debated about going on a cruise, or just going to Sedona, and we decided to go to San Diego! I am so happy with our choice. It was seriously such a fantastic vacation. I loved every minute of it! Ok... let's be real. There were times where we got lost, were super tired, etc. haha. But overall, the trip was awesome!
We left Thursday afternoon around 1. I am so glad we were able to leave Thursday! It was great having all day Friday and Saturday. We got home Sunday late afternoon.
Friday we went to the San Diego Zoo! We both had never been before. That place is AWESOME! it is ginormous. It makes the Phoenix Zoo look like crap basically haha. They had awesome animals and it was a great day to be there. A lot of it was shady and it wasn't very hot at all. The downside to the zoo, since it's so big, is that we seriously got lost a couple times. We had a map, but we couldn't figure out how to get from one place to another! haha it was confusing. And there was quite a bit of uphill and downhill. We took lots of breaks :) Overall, I am so glad we went there. It was a great experience for sure.
After the zoo we went to the beach! It was great to relax by the water, walk around, and enjoy the great weather. This was one of my favorite parts of our vacation.
Friday night we were talking about what we wanted to do the next day, and we spontaneously decided that we wanted to go to Sea World! We weren't planning on it, but we're like heck! Why not?? It was so great! I love Sea World! We had a great time enjoying all the shows and seeing the animals.
So the reason for the trip mostly was our anniversary, which was Saturday the 27th :) I can't believe we've been married for a year! It's crazy! Time flies by when you're having fun I guess. I love being married to Thomas. He keeps life interesting (in a good way!!) and is my best friend. I love him so much and can't wait to have a family with him! Speaking of... I can't believe that in 2 days it will be May... and Jayne will probably (I'm hoping I should say...) be born the end of July. Holy crap! We are so soon to becoming a family of 3! I can't explain how happy this makes me. I am so ready for this baby girl to be a part of our family. I feel so connected to her and love her so much already. I just wanna see her cute little face!
The other reason we went on this trip was for a babymoon before our little girl enters the world. It was the perfect time for the trip. I was feeling great most of the trip (minus a headache sometimes and getting tired from walking around a ton....) and we had a great time. I love my husband and am so grateful I got to go on this trip with him! It was worth every penny we spent!

Other highlights of the trip:
*Cheesecake Factory for dinner Saturday night (they even wrote Happy Anniversary with chocolate syrup on our cheesecake! It was so cute!)
*Huge mall literally right across from our hotel (speaking of hotel... ours was great! And a good deal! Thanks to priceline!)
*Hash House a Go Go restaurant.... HUUUUUGE pancakes. Holy moly. It was ginormous.
*Not getting pulled over by a cop. haha we got pulled over in Cali on our honeymoon. We definitely learned our lesson and didn't speed!
*Our car got us safely there! We have had a couple car issues lately so we were a little nervous. We got stuff fixed before we left though and so everything worked out :)

Now for tons of pictures!

What a stud. I love this man.

There seriously used to be a bird this big! Crazy!!
 Timon!

My swim suit makes me look like a dinosaur when it was blowing in the wind! haha
Baby girl is growing tons :)

This guy carved these out of sand. Crazy!

We had fun on the pier!
Trying to feed the seagull fish haha

These houses on the pier were so cute!!

 Sea World!

So gross- this walrus kept spitting out food and eating it again haha. It was hilarious

 Shamuuuuuu!

The sea lion show was our favorite! This guy was dancing to random songs for like 10 minutes at the beginning. I was dying laughing! It was the best!

Lots and lots of snacks.... and we definitely ate quite a bit of it haha
We listened to the book Holes in the car! I'm so glad we got it from the library- we loved it!

Ok seriously isn't this like the ugliest thing you've seen?? It's an eel at Sea World. It reminds me of the eels on The Little Mermaid.
