I am now 29 weeks pregnant! My body, baby, and belly are all changing by the week. I'm pretty sure Jayne has been sideways the past couple days. It seems like it at least, and I'm almost positive, because she will push way on one side of my belly, and way on the other side at the same time. And let me tell you, it isn't the most comfortable thing! Jayne is getting to be so strong! Another new thing has been hiccups! I have felt her have hiccups before probably like a month ago, but now she seems to have them all the time. It is a funny feeling :)
At my appointment last week I took my glucose test. Welllll.... I got a call on Monday from my doctor saying my results weren't so good. She said I would have to come back for more testing. I went yesterday morning and had to be there for a little over 3 hours. Not fun! I went in, they got a tube of blood from me, then I drank the glucose drink, and then got another tube of blood drawn from me after each hour for 3 hours. I sat at the doctor's office just listening to people's conversations, watched Monsters Inc. two times (they had it playing in the waiting room), tried to read a book, and basically sat there really bored. It wouldn't have been too bad if I hadn't felt so lightheaded! The first hour was the worst. After that it got better. I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything, so that's why I felt like I was going to pass out. I wasn't even allowed to lie down. I am definitely glad I got that over with! Hopefully my results come back better this time after these tests. If not, then it's ok. I will just have to be on a strict diet to keep baby girl and I healthy.
Now for some pictures! Mostly pictures of baby stuff, but other random things as well.
Recap of making Jayne's room! It started out yellow... we painted it gray!
I never got a before picture of this dresser.... but it was a light wood color. We spray painted it white.
And once we got the bedding for the crib, we matched the knobs on the drawers to the bedding!
This swing is like my favorite. Thanks to my sister-in-law, Kelley, for giving it to us!
My mom bought this burp cloth for me once we found out we were having a girl :) so cute!
I know these pictures are in a random order... I'm too frustrated to rearrange them haha. I babysat these kids like 2 weeks ago and they were obsessed with me being pregnant. They thought it was the coolest thing! They loved watching my belly move like jello when Jayne moved and they loved feeling her kick. It was so cute.
Before picture of the lamp....
The bedding came with a window valence, and I knew I wasn't going to use it (I'm going to make curtains soon) so I cut it up and used it to put on the lamp!
I knew I would need a little extra fabric to cover the lamp, so I also used this cream color fabric that matched (plus I already had it... score!)
Super super easy... I just started at the bottom and hot glued the fabric down.
I'm so happy with how it turned out! I love the color it adds to the room.
We also bought wood letters at Hobby Lobby and used the spray paint for the drawer knobs and used this tape stuff to put them on the wall! I LOVE it!
This lady on a Facebook group was selling this canvas for 5 bucks! It matches the room so well and is adorable. Score.
I don't have a before picture... but this dresser used to be black but we painted it white and also painted the knobs to match.
This is my FAVORITE part of the room. The chair is so so so comfy (I'm sitting in it right now as I type this) and I love love love the bookshelf and books. By the way my husband painted that picture of the Gilbert Temple.... he is so talented!! He's painting it for his brother, but he hasn't been in the painting mood for quite a while so for now it is sitting here until he finishes it haha.
Ok... are they not the cutest?? I started teaching these little girls dance 2-3 months ago. They had their performance on Saturday night and did so good! I love their costumes.... so freaking adorable.
This was my second year being an assistant at a preschool. I LOVE IT! I will miss these kids as they go off to kindergarten. I am excited, though, that I will still be helping next year (just for the morning class 3 days a week) and I'm so grateful my mom is going to watch my baby for me!
Just another picture to show what I do all the time... look down at this belly! I know it's not huge, but it feels big to me! One of my favorite things to do is watch her move around.
I love cereal... I always have, but this pregnancy has made me OBSESSED. I eat 2 bowls a day at least. One for breakfast, and one before I go to bed.
One of my preschool kids got my this spa kit for an end of the year gift, and it came with this inflatable bath thing. Haha so awesome. I love it
Me and my cute little dancers at their performance!
Belly button is popped out! Not a ton, but it's poking out a little! So weird...
This is my cute niece Paige. I babysat her yesterday for a little bit. She had fun playing with toys in Jayne's room :)
Then I read her a story and she fell fast asleep. So precious.
This baby already has so many clothes...
And I've already been given some diapers! Score.
I love the little socks, shoes, and headbands! So so so cute.
More clothes...
Thomas painted this picture when he was in 5th grade! I love it! His mom found it and put it in a frame for us, and snuck over and found the green spray paint to match the room and painted it for us. I love it! I'm excited to put it up!
There is a group on Facebook where people are just giving things away for free, and I found this! It's seriously in almost perfect condition! It was super dirty, but I hosed it off and it is perfect. Yay! It will be nice to have a backup stroller.
Closer look at the crib bedding. I think it is so pretty! Perfect for a baby and a toddler.
Love the room, love what you did with the lamp, and love Thomas's temple painting! Jayne is so lucky she has two wonderfully talented and creative parents! :)
ReplyDeleteAww thank you Katie! You are so sweet!
